September is always one of my favourite months. Not only do we get to enjoy a few extra summer days, there seems to be a refreshing aspect to the time of the season. Maybe it’s the back to school rush? Maybe it’s the welcome break from the heat? Any way you look at it, September is always a great time to kick things up a notch.

This September has been especially motivating for me, as I had the opportunity to take part in the Royal LePage National Sales Conference.

There are a number of conferencing events throughout the year, and I always look forward to catching up with my contacts and sharing information about how we can help each other as well as our clients. I consider the great real estate professionals I meet at the conferences to be incredible liaisons for any clients who find themselves relocating from London, Ontario to another part of Canada. When I hear that a client is relocating, I’m always sad to see them leave but I also know I can still be of assistance to them as they transition to their new city. By attending various conferences and making key contacts, I am able to confidently refer my clients to someone in their new city who is able to take care of their real estate needs from start to finish.

Exchanging ideas and opportunities with each other is an effective way for me to make sure I’m doing everything I can to offer my clients the best service possible. Part of what I love about the real estate business is that I’m continually learning. There are always new concepts and approaches to improving the real estate experience, from the application of the latest technology to a new marketing idea, and I’m always excited to incorporate them.

Aside from the location where the conference is held (which is always awesome), it’s a great opportunity to reconnect face-to-face with those individuals I have established a connection with at past conferences. We keep in touch throughout the year with the help of email (and even Twitter! can follow me here) but there’s nothing like getting together in person to touch base, catch up and share how we can better serve our clients.
