Southcrest includes the areas of The Coves, Kensal Park, Berkshire Village and Southcrest Estates. The Southcrest neighbourhood has a lot of variety when it comes to the types of real estate and properties that are available. Starter homes range from from apartment condos to small bungalows, and there are also a number of stretched out ranchers. The area is surrounded by green landscape, with lots of parks, access to the Thames river, open green space as well as the Environmentally Significant Coves Ponds. David Suzuki is said to have enjoyed the Coves Ponds when he was here, and I've been known to canoe out in Thames River area to enjoy a concert at Harris Park for Rock the Park (although, I'm not sure if you can still do this, legally).

Old South gets a lot of attention as being one of the best neighbourhoods in London, Ontario, but if you are looking for a less expensive option that's nearby, The Coves in Southcrest is a great option. It's easy walking distance to the downtown core and Wortley Village, and Westmount Shopping Centre is nearby if you're looking for for shopping and entertainment. Plus, there's an abundance of nature that is essentially the neighbourhood's backyard. Over the summer take the time to drop by the London Ice Cream Company for a taste of some of the city's best ice cream (and great neighbourhood spot).
