Mel's Insights:

River Bend is best known for it's beautiful, 18-hole championship golf course that lies on 160 acres and it's gated private community, promoting an active lifestyle for those who are 50 years and older. But, don't be fooled: the neighbourhood itself extends beyond these two wonderful characteristics. River Bend gets its name from the fact that the Thames River makes it's largest bend to the north and surrounds the neighbourhood on all three sides. Make logical sense, right? The neighbourhood features above average homes to executive country spreads on winding streets, surrounded by beautiful woods and is also home to Kains Woods (an Environmentally Significant Area). It's possible to see Bald Eagles, Killdeer, Great Blue Heron, Wild Turkey, White-tailed deer, Eastern Cottontail, Grey Tree Frog and Yellow Spotted Salamander, so get your cameras ready to capture the perfect shot! The neighbourhood is home to the McCormick Home for Advancing Dementia Care and is an easy distance to the Hyde Park shopping area and London Hunt and Country Club. This is a beautiful neighbourhood to find your next home in.
