Mel's Insights:

Stoney Creek sits on the north side of London, positioned between Highbury and Adelaide. If you enter the neighbourhood on its south side, you could easily guess the homes here were built in the mid-to-late 70s. When it comes to the styles of homes, thery include 2-storey homes, side splits and bungalows with garages (both attached and detached) that sit on comfortably-sized, treed lots. As you move towards Sunningdale Road, you feel a distinct shift in the age of homes. It's almost like they put their shovel down for a number of years and stopped construction! I'd guess it was for about a solid 20 years. Most of the homes built to the north side were built between 2004 and now, most on smaller lots, but including the updated styles of 2-storey homes, back split and bungalows. The area north of Sunningdale road is newer construction (10 years old, approximately) and still building. This area sits close to the Llyndinshire Golf & Country Club (established in 1975), YMCA Stoney Creek, Johnny's restaurant at Highbury and Fanshawe (famil-style diner, great choice for brunch).
